University of Lodz, Poland is a public university founded in 1945. Research and teaching is carried out in 11 Faculties representing major disciplines: biology, chemistry, cultural studies, economy, education, geography, international relations, law and administration, management, mathematics and physics, philology (languages), philosophy, sociology. Most of these disciplines offer MA and PhD Programmes.

The Faculty of International and Political Studies (FIPS) is a multidisciplinary unit carrying out research and teaching in international relations, political science, media, and cultural studies.

Dr. Wieslaw Oleksy, a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of International and Political Studies, has experience in international research and in teaching mass media.
