Civil Radio Budapest, Hungary was founded in 1995.
Civil Radio is committed to developing spaces for citizens' participation in
broadcasting. Civil Radio supports programmes which discuss local community
activities and measures that are taken to support and expand them. Civil Radio
organises training courses which help civil organisations to engage in social
communication, and represent their interests in the media. During the last two
years courses for people with disabilities have been offered together with the
"Handicap Foundation", as well as training in general communication studies for people
participating in Civil Radio's programme making.
Adam Magyar has experience in broadcasting, teaching
new media technology to socially disadvantaged groups, and as a partner in international projects.
